Family Home Evening for Come Follow Me 7/13 for Kids

- Most of us have experiences that challenge our faith. For Hezekiah and his people, one of those challenges came when the Assyrian army approached Jerusalem.
- Imagine you lived in Jerusalem at that time. What would it have felt like to hear the taunts of the Assyrians? (Read aloud 2 Kings 18:28–37 and 19:10–13.)
- What do you learn from what Hezekiah did in response? (see 2 Kings 19:1–7, 14–19).
- How did the Lord sustain Hezekiah? (see 2 Kings 19:35–37).
- Do you ever have a time when you feel like you’re being mocked, or made fun of?
- Ponder how He has sustained you in challenging times.
Activity
Make a sign that will help you remember to turn to the Lord.

Work on memorizing this scripture with your children during the week for Come Follow Me 7/13: 2 Kings 18:5–6
He trusted in the Lord God of Israel; so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him.
For he clave to the Lord, and departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the Lord commanded Moses.
