Hey y’all, Tiffany here with a list of our favorite educational graphic novels for kids.
Our oldest loves to read, and one of her favorite books recently has been a graphic novel about Marie Curie. She reads it at least once a week!
As you know, I’m also a bit of a TV snob and only let the kids watch educational shows. This also applies to their reading a bit. While I let them read a lot of fun books, I want them to be clean and wholesome.
To help my daughter, and to help any of you who may want educational graphic novels for your kids, I’ve put together this list of my favorites that I have found.

Manga Literary Classics Series
The Manga Literary Classics Series by YKids is a little more difficult to find, but this is the series that our Marie Curie book is from and that caused my daughter to fall in love with reading educational graphic novels.
This educational graphic novel kids series has famous people in history, and it also has classic books such as 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea in this format.
The best place to find this series is on Thriftbooks. This is actually where I get most of the books for our homeschooling!
Survive! Inside the Human Body
Survive! Inside the Human Body begins an epic journey through the human body with a look at the digestive system. This lively, full-color science educational graphic novel for kids explores Phoebe’s insides after she accidentally swallows a microscopic ship. The only problem? Dr. Brain (the ship’s eccentric inventor) and Phoebe’s friend Geo are on board!
Geo and Dr. Brain must avoid danger at every turn—like hazardous stomach acid and feeding parasites. (Ew!) Will they escape? You’ve got a front-row seat as they travel through Phoebe’s esophagus, stomach, and intestines.
Have you ever wondered…
–How antacids work?
–How our bodies break down food and absorb nutrients?
–Why we have sphincters?
–How the stomach protects itself from its own acid?
–How doctors cure patients who have parasites living in their digestive systems?
–Why we have trillions of friendly microbes living inside of us?
