Family Home Evening for Come Follow Me 8/17 for Kids

Song

We Are Reverent (Children’s #27b)

Scripture

Psalm 46:10

Lesson

  • This week, we are studying the Psalms, which were songs or prayers. Some are said to be written by King David, but we don’t know the other authors.
  • The Savior quoted them often when He was on the earth.
  • We get to see what the ancient people felt about God, what they worried about, and how they found peace.
  • What does this verse of a Psalm tell us?
  • How does being still help us get to know God? This is tied to reverence.
  • Where and when can we be still? (Church, prayers, FHE, etc)

Activity

Have a contest to see who can sit still the longest.
