- Ask additional discussion questions found in the Personal Study section of Come, Follow Me – For Individuals and Families for Come Follow Me 12/7

Monday Devotional
Song
Choose the Right (Hymns #239)
Scripture
Discussion
- We are now almost at the end of the Book of Mormon. Before Moroni tells us his last words, though, he wants to tell us about some important things he learned in letters from his father Mormon. We will study those letters this week.
- There are so many different ideas in the world. How can we tell which ones are right or wrong? What does Mormon say in these verses?
- Talk about some experiences you have had as a family or individually and point out how to tell the difference.
Activity

How can I know if something is right?
Tuesday Devotional
Song
I Pledge Myself to Love the Right (Children’s #161)
Scripture
Discussion
- After teaching about how to distinguish between good and evil, Mormon asked a question that seems relevant today: “How is it possible [to] lay hold upon every good thing?”
- The question is answered in the verses we’ll read – what is the answer?
Activity

Journal Entry
How do I lay hold on every good thing.
Wednesday Devotional
Song
Love One Another (Hymns #308)
Scripture
Discussion
- President Dallin H. Oaks observed: “The reason charity never fails and the reason charity is greater than even the most significant acts of goodness … is that charity, ‘the pure love of Christ’ (Moro. 7:47), is not an act but a condition or state of being. … Charity is something one becomes”
- What is charity? How can I have charity?
- Why can’t you have charity without faith or hope?
Activity
Go through toys and donate some that are no longer played with. (This is especially good with Christmas coming up soon!)
Journal Entry
What can I do to show charity today?
Thursday Devotional
Song
How Dear to God Are Little Children (Children’s #180)
Scripture
Discussion
- This is an extremely heavy lesson, and what’s appropriate varies depending on age and experiences of each child.
- You may want to simplify this lesson to explaining about age-appropriate behaviors and how a child’s body is their own.
- Use this chart to guide what would be appropriate to discuss with your child.
- **Please do NOT skip this lesson because it may be uncomfortable for you. It is extremely important to have these kinds of conversations with your children.**
Activity
These object lessons are useful in explaining to children. (Don’t worry, they’re not about wadded up dollar bills or chewed up gum. #3 fits perfectly with Elder Scott’s quote in this section of the Come Follow Me 12/7 lessons.

How can I keep my thoughts clean?
Friday Devotional

Nearer, My God, to Thee (Hymns #100)
