Family Home Evening for Come Follow Me 3/4 for Kids

Song

Search, Ponder, and Pray (Children’s #109)

Scripture

2 Nephi 25:4

Lesson

  • Gice the children a message written in a secret code. Tell them it has the instructions to find today’s treat.
  • Isaiah was an ancient Isrealite prophet that taught many important things, but is difficult for most people that don’t know a lot about his time and culture to understand.
  • Reading Isaiah can feel like you’re reading a secret code.
  • Nephi knew this and taught in plainness to help people understand.
  • We can also recieve guidance from the Holy Ghost as we read scriptures to help us understand and apply them.
  • Have you ever felt confused when you read a scripture? What did you do about it?

Activity

Make your own secret codes.

Treat

Fruit roll-ups (like Isaiah’s scrolls)

  1. I just found These and they look so wonderful!! Is there a way to print each days devotional so I don’t have to be on my phone while we are doing them? Thanks!!

    1. We do not convert them into PDFs or Word docs, but you are welcome to copy/paste them into documents yourself. One reason for that is because of all the links to the activities, hymns, etc. Another reason is that when we did it the first year, it was actually really time-consuming. Then we discovered that some people were downloading them and passing them off as their own work and even selling them. So we now keep everything here on the blog, but individuals are welcome to print it themselves or copy/paste it into documents that fit their family’s needs.
