Hi guys! I’m Sara, Tiffany’s sister, and I’ve got a delicious recipe for easy cheesy potatoes for you that comes with a secret ingredient!

This is one of my favorite recipes of all time! It’s the one on our table at every holiday – it pairs deliciously with Brown Sugar & Coke Glazed Ham or even with Ham with Ham Gravy – and the one that always get eaten the fastest.

I know everyone probably has a dish in their repertoire that looks somewhat like this. I don’t know what it is about Americans, but we love us some creamy, cheesy, potatoes!

But ours has a secret ingredient.

Onion & chive cream cheese.

I’m serious guys, this special cream cheese makes this dish THE BOMB! My husband literally dreams about this side dish. And once you make it yourself, you’ll understand why.

Delicious & Easy Cheesy Potatoes with a Secret Ingredient

Delicious & Easy Cheesy Potatoes

  • 1⁄2 cup butter (1 cube)
  • 1 10.5 oz can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 8 oz carton onion & chive cream cheese tub
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (adjust amount to taste)
  • 1 32 oz bag hash brown potato cubes

Preheat oven to 350. Melt butter in a large pot. Add soup and cream cheese and stir until cream cheese is mixture is smooth and creamy.

Next, add cheddar cheese and stir until melted and well blended.

Then, add hash brown potatoes and stir until evenly coated. Pour into a 9″X13″ pan.

Some people like to top this dish with bread crumbs, but it’s up to you.

Cover the easy cheesy potatoes and bake for about 45 min, then remove foil and bake an additional 10 min.

Easy Cheesy Potatoes (Secret Ingredient)

Ingredients

  • 1⁄2 cup butter (1 cube)
  • 1 10.5 oz can Cream of Chicken Soup
  • 1 8 oz carton onion & chive cream cheese tub
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese (adjust amount to taste)
  • 1 32 oz bag hash brown potato cubes

Instructions

      2. You can change this cheesy potatoes up by switching the cream of chicken soup for Campbell’s health request cheddar cheese soup. Also I prefer to precook the potatoes in the microwave which saves time in oven and they come out nice and tender. Love using crushed Ritz crackers with butter as a crunchy topping.
