- 1/3 cup oil
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar (granulated)
- 15 ounces pumpkin puree
- 4 Tbsp butter (unsalted, softened)
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp vanilla
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
- 2 1/4 cup flour (all-purpose)
- 12 ounces chocolate chips
How to Make Chocolate Chip Pumpkin Bars
Here are the instructions on how you can make these delicious pumpkin bars!
First, you need to pre-heat your oven to 350 degrees. You also need to grease a 9×13″ pan. I prefer using a glass casserole dish.
In a large mixing bowl, put in the oil, brown sugar, sugar, pumpkin puree, and butter. Beat together until very well blended.
Next, add in the egg, vanilla, salt, baking soda, and pumpkin pie spice. Mix well.
Now add the flour to your mixture. Mix until all the flour has been mixed in.
Put in 3/4 of your chocolate chips (9 ounces). The rest will be saved for the top.
Spread the pumpkin bar batter into the pan. Sprinkle the top with the remaining chocolate chips.
Bake for 25-30 minutes.
You will know that it is done when you put a toothpick in the center and it comes out clean (or with moist crumbs).
