Song

Come, Ye Children of the Lord (Hymns #58)

Scripture

Doctrine and Covenants 133:1–19

Discussion

  • The Church decided to publish all of the revelations we have read so far as the Book of Commandments. This section was meant to be the Appendix, or the end of it.
  • Wicked men came to Nauvoo and destroyed the printing press, scattering the pages everywhere. Some were saved.
  • This section is a warning to all the world about the Second Coming and the Lord calling His people to righteousness. The Lord says in the first verse for His church to “hearken.” What are the things we should listen to in these verses?

Journal Entry

What can I do today that show I am listening to His warning?

Activity

Listening ears craft
