Work on memorizing this scripture with your children during the week for Come Follow Me 2/7:

And I will establish my covenant between me and thee and thy seed after thee in their generations for an everlasting covenant, to be a God unto thee, and to thy seed after thee.

Devotionals for Come Follow Me 2/7 for kids

Remember that these are guidelines for you to use in your daily Come, Follow Me 2/7 devotionals with your children!  Please don’t feel as though you have to use every single question, journal entry, or activity.  Just make sure you look at the activity in advance so you can gather any materials they may require.

  • Copy the journal entries into a spiral notebook.  The child or the parent can write the question at the top, after which the child can write or draw an answer.

  • God made a covenant with Abraham, which we often refer to as the Abrahamic Covenant.
  • God promised this covenant would continue to all of Abraham’s seed, or descendants. This includes all members of the Church because even if we don’t come from Abraham, we are adopted into his family when we join the Church.
  • To be counted as Abraham’s seed, we must obey the laws and ordinance of the gospel. What are some examples of that?

  • These verses contain many of the promises of the Abrahamic Covenant. We talk more about the covenants in the temple.
  • What are these promises? How can we see these promises in our lives?
  • When Abraham and Sarah received these promises, Sarah was very old and had not had any children at all!
  • Some of these promises might be fulfilled in the next life.
