Hey y’all, Tiffany here.
One of the biggest things we’ve tried to focus on as parents is to teach our children how to do things. We repeatedly tell the kids, “Our job isn’t to do things for you. It’s to teach you how to do things yourselves.”
It’s something that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has focused on a lot recently as they make changes to the youth and Primary programs and structure.
Having the kids help and learn how to do things on their own is definitely a test of patience, however! Our kids love helping make dinner, so quick five-minute meals are a “must” for our family.
These easy pepperoni pizza muffins are a favorite because the kids can make their own muffins how they want! Extra pepperoni or no sauce, they no longer fight over what kind of pizza to order. It allows them to have their own creativity and participate in the kitchen with minimal stress on the adult’s part.
Easy Pepperoni Pizza Muffins
- Muffin tin
- Can of refrigerated Pillsbury biscuits
- Pasta/spaghetti sauce
- Grated cheese
- Sliced pepperoni
Grease the muffin tin. Open the biscuits, and pull them in half (like you were going to butter them on the inside).
Lay each one at the bottom of the muffin tin. Spread on pasta/spaghetti sauce, sprinkle on cheese, and top with two slices of pepperoni.
Bake in the oven at the temperature and time indicated on the biscuit package (you may need to check periodically – some ovens cook these a bit funny.)
