With three kids, sometimes it can be difficult to try to teach one and not let the others cause a distraction or get into trouble.
One of my favorite ways to keep younger kids busy is with color by number worksheets – which are even better when they’re free! (But you can get a bunch of color by number coloring books on Amazon if you don’t want to print these free ones out.)
Color by number worksheets are more engaging and educational than a regular coloring book or coloring page. Not only do they reinforce colors and the ability to recognize numbers, but they keep kids engaged for a longer period of time since they have to search out the numbers and colors instead of coloring however they want.
I personally prefer my kids to use crayons or colored pencils when they use color by number worksheets. The last thing I want is to see my toddler running off with markers and moving on to the wall!
